Two cattle herders who gang-raped an 8 months pregnant woman have pleaded guilty after being arraigned before an area court in Abuja.
The Prosecutor, Dabo Yakubu, told the court that the defendants, Nuru Tukur, 21, and Yusufa Haruna, 29 on February 25, abducted the woman who was 8 months pregnant from her house in Abaji Area Council of the FCT, took her to a bush and gang-raped her.
One Abubakar Wakili of Yaba in Abaji Area Council reported the matter at the Gwagwalada Area Command office on February 26.
The Judge, Malam Abdullahi Abdulkarim, deferred sentencing in order for him to see and know the condition of the victim.
He however ordered that they be remanded in a correctional center pending sentencing on March 22.
