Nigerian actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, has revealed the reason why more make actors always seek for financial aid online compared to their counterpart in the industry.
Popular Nigerian actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, gives the reason why more male actors seek for financial aid online compared to their female counterparts in the movie industry.
He gave this explanation in a recentepisode of the Bad and Boujee podcast with hosts, TolaniBaj and Moet Abebe.
In the podcast, the prominent actor was asked why many male actors are coming out to request crowdfunding for sickness and other pressing issues.
Sharing his opinion, the actor said that he strongly believe that this is due to the patriarchal society in Nigeria which leaves women as men’s responsibility.
Using himself as an example, he explained that once he finished a job and get paid, his first thought is to take care of his family settle outstanding bills.
However for the ladies,once they are paid, the money is for themselves alone to spend, which gives room for saving.
He also said that some women are beautiful and some people give them gifts and other financial rewards especially from men who find their beauty alluring.
Men on the other hand have to fend for themselves most times so when they reach a breaking point, they reach out to the public for help instead.
