A drama unfolded at Gateway International Church in Choba, Rivers State, on Sunday, Febuary 4th, as a young lady and her brothers stormed into the church to confront and beat up her alleged unfaithful boyfriend during a church service.
According to Eyewitnesses it was an unusual sight as the young lady and her brothers stormes the church hall to confront her boyfriend and accuse him of infidelity.
In a video making rounds on social media, the woman’s brothers can be seen charging into the church hall and immediately confronted the young man, who was seated at the front row.
Without seeking any explanation, they launched into a physical altercation, throwing punches and slaps .
According to witnesses, the fight got worse as the accused boyfriend attempted to defend himself from the attack by his prospective in-laws.
Church members intervened swiftly to prevent the situation from escalating further into violence.
“This happened in my church today. Apparently, the guy was cheating on his girlfriend and she surprised him with a visit to the church.
She came with her brothers who slapped and beat up her boyfriend as the service was ongoing. As a result of the assault, the victim started bleeding,” an eyewitness said.
