There is an uproar on social media after members of the EFCC raided some hostels at OAU about 2am, arresting over 60 male student.
Ecomonic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has caused an uproar on social media after they raided some hostels at Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU at about 2 am this morning, arresting over 60 male students without search warrant.
The law enforcement agency is always in the news over their incessant raids at odd hours, for example Skales recently dragged them for raiding his house and scaring his wife and child.
Today, 1st November, members of the anti graft agency raided two hostels in OAU, namely ‘Fine touch’ and ‘Superb hostels’ to arrest young boys who they suspect are into internet fraud.
This act has been strongly condemned by the Student Union Government of the school stating that it goes against principles of justice and due process.
Many Netizens have also expressed their outrage and disappointment on the agency.
