The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has issued a stern warning to Nigerians against abusing the country’s currency, Naira.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a stern warning to Nigerians against the abuse of the national currency, Naira.

The message comes following the conviction of social media personality, Bobrisky, for mishandling of Naira notes.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six-month in prison with no option of fine by the Lagos court for his involvement in the abuse of the Naira.

This development has prompted the EFCC to reiterate its stance against such activities, emphasizing that the abuse of currency is a serious offence.

Taking to Twitter, the EFCC made its stance crystal clear. The anti graft agency went on to warn individuals engaging in the abuse of the Naira.

“Say No To Abuse of the Naira If preaching will not send the message, conviction will.
