The face behind popular anonymous blog in X, Gistlover Blog has been unmasked by The National Cybercrime Center of the Nigeria Police Force after it’s owner and members were arrested following a petition lodged by Honorable and Doctor Mrs. Seye Oladejo.

According to Linda Ikeji Blog, they were arrested in connection to a case involving Conspiracy, Cyberstalking, and Threats to life.

As per ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police force’s spokesperson, the apprehended individuals —Adebukola Kolapo, Nnedum Micheal Somtomchukwu, and Isaac Akpokighe—are allegedly part of a syndicate known as Gistlover family.

The syndicate reportedly operates the Gistlover blog, a blogging platform infamous for engaging in Cyberstalking, incitement, Blackmail, and other illicit activities which has reportedly sparked public concern.

The statement issued by the police revealed that upon serious interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the said conspiracy, aligning with the substantial evidence the police had against them.

Adebukola Kolapo, alias Omo oba Gistlover, purportedly played a significant role in creating over 80 percent of the Gistlover pages, effectively providing his digital footprint for the commission of these criminal acts.

Allegedly being on the payroll of the platform and receiving perks like cars and monetary incentives, Adebukola was chiefly responsible for scouting, editing, captioning contents, and specifically targeting the complainant, Hon. and Dr. Mrs. Oluseyi Oladejo, with cyberstalking posts.

Also, Adebukola has been accused of aiding in the laundering of funds acquired through these illegal schemes through various means.

Furthermore, digital forensic analysis led to the discovery of eight Gistlover pages, all reportedly created by Adebukola at the direction of the syndicate’s head, along with wallet addresses linked to the money laundering activities.
