Father of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad gives an insight into the courtship between his son and his widow, Wumi and how they met.
Mohbad’s father, Mr Joseph Aloba speaks on how his late son met his wife, Wunmi at Naira Marley’s record label their courtship period.
Mr Aloba disclosed that even though his son and Omowunmi knew each other since they were kids at Oke-Iletu, Ikorodu, they met again in Lagos at Marlian Music where they rekindled their love.
He also praised his late son for his simplicity and modesty nothing that even though they reconnected they was no strung attached at the initial stage of their friendship.
Mr Aloba said this while he gave a clarification on the lyrics of “Komajensun” song which his son sang in 2020.
He quoted the verse “Naira lo gbe omo fun mi, I’m not a womaniser”, in Mohbad’s song to reference how he linked up again with Wunmi at Marlian record.
“He (Mohbad) met the lady (Wunmi) there (at Marlian Music) but they had known each other from Oke-Iletu, even though the lady was a student then,” Mr Aloba explained.
