“I once begged Rema to show my music to Don Jazzy for N1M” – Khaid reveals

Upcoming singer, Khaid has shared how he once pleaded with his colleague, Rema to help him show his video to record label boss, Don Jazzy.

Popular singer, Suleimon Shekoni Solomon popularly known as Khaid, has shared his journey as an aspiring artiste and how he once beg his colleague, Rema to help him by showing his freestyle video to Don Jazzy.

Khaid, who is a signee under comedian Sydney Talker‘s record label, Neville Records, made this known during a recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast.


According to the singer, he made efforts to get in contact with Mavin boss in other to push his career.

Khaid explained that in his determination to make it in the industry, she was willing to offer Rema his first one million Naira if he could facilitate his record deal with Mavin Records.

However, his messages to Rema were never answered.


“Rema if you are seeing this, please take heart. I actually went to Rema’s [Instagram] DM one day with my old account and sent my freestyle video to him. I said, ‘Bro, I know that you trap like me. Please, help me show this video to Don Jazzy. Let him sign me so that we will be in the same record label.’

“He didn’t see the message. At that time, I was texting him with all emotions in me, bro. I was texting him with prayers. I was willing to give him my first 1 million,” he stated.
