Abdullateef Adetola Adedimeji also known as “crying machine” is a Nigerian movie star, script writer, director and producer, TV presenter, Master of Ceremony and filmmaker. He gained popularity over the years due to his exceptional style of acting which has earned him some awards.
Born on the 1st of February 1986 to Alhaji Adedimeji and Alhaja Judirat Adedimeji in Jakande estate Isolo, Lagos State, he is a native of Abeokuta Ogun state’s capital.
He is the first son but fourth of the six children given birth to by his parents. His brother Abdulazeez Adedimeji is also an actor who is making lots of waves and is set to take Nollywood space by storm, he featured in the movie “ballers”.
Abdullateef is also known to have a younger sister who seems to be the last born of the family by name Rasheedah, however little is known about her.
Lateef, just as his name suggests, is from a Muslim background and is himself a practicing Muslim who believes in Allah and the teachings of his Holy prophets.

Lateef Adedimeji Education
Lateef Adedimeji began his educational journey at Ire Akari primary school, in his place of birth, where he got his primary school certificate and thereafter proceeded to Ilamoye Grammar school Okota, Lagos for his secondary education.
He left for Ogun his state of origin where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2007. His writing and acting skills were enhanced at Community Life Project, a Non Governmental Organization.
He equally attended a performance studio workshop at Onikan Lagos State, where he improved his performing skill.

Abdullateef Adetola Adedimeji started his acting Career in 2007 when he joined Orisun Tv acting both major and minor roles in Yoruba and English.
However, things were not all rosy for Lateef, in fact he stated in an interview that there was a time he nearly left the movie industry as things were not moving smoothly for him, but with the advice of his trusted friends he remained and endured.
He got his popularity from the major role he played in Adekoya Yewande’s “Kudi klepto” a 2013 movie and has continued to appear in various movies.

Aside from professional acting, Lateef started acting while in secondary school which gave him the opportunity to work with an NGO through creation of video content to educate the general public on sexual related issues and human rights. He was amongst other things known for playing the role of an emotional character who cries often which earned him his nickname “crying machine”
Due to his writing prowess, he was opportuned to work with the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) as a script writer.

Concerning his love life, there were rumors flying around that he was involved with 33 year old Bukunmi Oluwashina who also belongs to the movie industry and is equally a writer and a producer with a bachelor’s degree from the renowned Obafemi Awolowo university (OAU) Ile Ife from Ekiti state.
She however debunked the claims stating that her relationship with Lateef was professional and platonic. Lateef also debunked the rumor stating that the pictures that were flying around social media were actually from a movie he co-acted with the beautiful actress. She appears in a lot of movies alongside Lateef, the latest being the 2023 movie “Jagun Jagun”
However, in December 2021, Lateef got married to his heartthrob 26 year old Adebimpe Oyebade popularly known as Mobimpe. Adebimpe is an actress, social media influencer, a model and a social media personality born on the 23rd of March, 1997. She was born and hails from Ekiti state, southwestern Nigeria.
Lateef’s marriage to his wife was unexpected even to him. He said in an interview that he didn’t see his wife in the picture of raising a family together. He even doubted if she was going to be accepted into the family by his parents owing to the fact that he was from a devoted Muslim, while Mobimpe was from a devoted Christian home. Prior to their wedding, Mobimpe also stated in an interview she granted, that her relationship with Lateef was not erotic but professional.
Anyways, the duo had a very elaborate wedding and are currently happily married, although, there has been no news that they have a child together yet. But there is news flying around that Mobimpe is expecting twins.

Lateef through his career has achieved quite a fortune, the super actor shortly after his wedding with Mobimpe purchased a luxurious mansion for himself and his family right in Lekki Lagos which is considered as a place for the rich due to the high cost of properties in the area. Fans took to social media to praise and congratulate him, stating that buying such a house is no small feat.
Although he didn’t share the pictures of the mansion himself, the photos leaked and were a wonderment to everyone.

Notable amongst his life experience is his narrow survival of a car accident back in 2022. The accident according to him happened to due to brake failure. After the incident, Lateef took to his social media handles to praise and thank God for his mercies and faithfulness, he equally thanked his fans for their prayers.
