Moment NDLEA officers were ambushed by armed hoodlums defending an illicit Drug Warehouse in Edo


Officers of the NDLEA came under gunfire after they were attacked in an ambush by armed hoodlums guarding an illicit drug warehouse in Edo state.


In one of their operations, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officers were meet with an ambush where they exchange gunfire with armed hoodlums who were guarding and defending an illicit drug warehouses in Opuje forest, Edo State.

The ambush was shared online. The video showed the anti-drug agents pushing forward and trying their best to dismantle the criminal network operating in the region.

The spokesperson for the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, who confirmed the incident revealed that the officers in the operation showed remarkable courage despite being ambushed.

According to Babafemi, the NDLEA officers managed to overpower the hoodlums after engaging in a fierce two-hour gun battle.

This confrontation resulted in casualties on the NDLEA side, with three officers sustaining severe injuries.

One of the injured officers had to undergo a brain surgery because if the injury sustained during the fight.
