Photos trend as couple wear Ankara for church wedding

A couple trends on social media after using Ankara in making their outfits for their church wedding.

A Nigerian couple sparks reaction on social media after they used Ankara fabric to make their outfit for their church wedding.

The native wear sparked reaction largely due to the fact that this is not in line with the usual white wedding gown and suits which are often worn for church wedding.

It was gathered from a Facebook page, Calabargist, that the wedding was held on Sunday, January 14, at Assemblies of God church in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom.

The page wrote …

“Meet the newly Wedded couple. “Bro Godswill and Sister IDONGESIT who got wedded today at Assemblies of God in Ikot Ekpene. “No stress, No too much spending. “Tagged your friend that’s still waiting till he has 3 million before he gets married to see this. “Please let’s celebrate them. “Congratulations to you both. “Your family is blessed. “Copied @david iwok.”
