Tope Maggie, Ogbomoso-based Chef, set to dethrone Alan Fisher as he begins 200-hour cook-a-thon


A Nigerian chef, Tope Maggie from Ogbomoso is currently trying to break the record set by Irish chef Alan Fisher by doing a 200 hours cooking marathon.


A Nigerian chef identified as Tope Maggie from Ogbomoso, is currently on trying to break the record set by Irish chef Alan Fisher in a 200-hour cooking marathon.

This challenge is coming after the Guinness world record revealed that they is no limitation to time as regards to time an individual can break a record hence Tope’s attempt.

Alan Fisher recently got the Guinness World Records achievement, after he surpassed Nigeria’s chef Hilda Baci record as the longest cooking record holder.



Guinness World Records officially declared Alan Fisher as the new titleholder for the longest cooking marathon (individual), completing an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes.

Aside the longest cooking marathon, he also claimed the longest baking marathon (individual) title, clocking in at 47 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by Wendy Sandner from the USA.

Days after Alan Fisher’s record-breaking feat, Tope Maggie is aiming to set a record by cooking for 200 hours to surpass Fisher’s 119 hours and 57 minutes.
