A video trending on social media shows a lecturer at Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil subjecting students to punishment and assault during a lecture.
The video, which has since gone viral since it was shared online, reveals the lecturer asking some of his students to kneel down in from of the class and some to frog jump.
Also, the lecturer was captured slapping two male students behind their necks while issuing instructions, and other students are shown kneeling and raising their hands.
This has sparked a mix of reactions and condemnation and debate on the appropriateness of such harsh disciplinary actions against university students.
