Internationally acclaimed singer, Burna Boy has disclosed his reason for rejecting a $5 million gig in Dubai.
Grammy Award-winning artist, Burna Boy reveals how he recently declined a $5 million offer to perform in Dubai because he won’t be allowed to smoke weed.
Burna Boy said that the rejection was prompted by the fact that marijuana is prohibited in the United Arab Emirates.
In UAE, smoking is forbidden by Emirate legislation in parks, beaches, and other public recreation places.
“Just now I turned down Dubai money, 5 million dollars na small thing cos me I no dey like to dey go where dem no go gree allow me smoke igbo,” Burna Boy said
He made this revelation during his freestyle while rehearsing with his band, Outsiders, in a video making the rounds on social media platform, X.
